Who Was Jesus?

6 comments:

  1. Jesus Christ is perhaps the most influential historical character to have ever set foot on Earth. Roughly two thousand years ago, a young woman named Mary gave birth to the son of God. The birth of Christ was the source for the holiday of Christmas. Jesus comprises the role of the son on the holy trinity. During his short lifetime, Jesus inspired and taught many people to become better citizens, including his disciples. Jesus had to overcome many obstacles, including an unfaithful disciple and rising from the dead. Although many people were touched by Jesus, there is no historical record of his life between the ages of 12 and 30. At the ripe young age of 33, Jesus was crucified on a cross, ultimately becoming the inspiration of Christianity and an unforgettable legend.

  2. This question of "Who Is Jesus Christ?" is impossible to answer completely, however, in some people's perspective, he is the one and only living Son of God to ever walk the Earth. Jesus Christ is part of the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. In this light, Jesus is, of course, son. Jesus was sent by God, the Father, to be born by the young virgin, Mary on what we, today, call Christmas. By the time he was a young man, he was performing miracles and saving lives. This continued until he was approximately 33 years old, when he was crucified on the cross as a sacrifice for the entire rest of humanity's sins at the hand of an unfaithful disciple and, only three days later, rising from the dead. To partially answer the original question, Jesus Christ is a savior, an inspiration, and a true servent of God.

  3. Jesus Christ is the son of Mary and Joseph. Most Christians believe that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary and that Mary was still a virgin at Jesus’ birth. What most people believe is that Jesus was the one who is said to have been born in Bethlehem in a manger on December 25.

  4. Jesus Christ is also called Messiah, Hossanah, the Prince of Peace, and more. As the son of God, he was born by the Virgin Mary, raised under the roof of Joseph the Carpenter, and brought up as a Jew. As he grew up, he followed the word of God, and became a teacher of the Word. Jesus accumulated followers called disciples, and there were twelve. With the help of God, he performed many miracles, and healed many people, both spiritually and physically. These deeds brought upon adoration as well as hatred. People soon became jealous of his growing popularity and power in society. He was wrongly accused of lying about being the son of God. Then he was betrayed by one of his friends, Judah, to the Roman Government for money. From there Pontius Pilate crucified him, and he died on the cross. Before he died on the cross, he cried out “God why have you forsaken me?” Three days after he died, Jesus rose again to give his disciples his final instructions.

  5. Jesus Christ is the son of God. He was born to Mary and Joseph by divine intervention rather than sexual means. His birth was significant in that fact that he was a representation of God sent to earth. His presence gave people something to follow and strive to live like. Jesus originally was a Jewish fisherman. Then, he became a rabbi and preached about God. He gained many followers during his lifetime. He had 12 disciples who were his closest followers. He lived until 33 when he was crucified on the cross. He died for our sins and so that we might have eternal life. But, who was he really? He was the visible expression of the invisible God. His life told us much about the unseen God. He was kind to children. He was tender to the broken hearted. He was merciful and patient to the outcasts. He was someone who helped restore dignity to people whose lives had been crushed by the hardships of life. Yet, he was unrelenting and would never back down from the religious oppressors. People were amazed at his teaching because he spoke with authority and not as other teachers of the law. His life is not meant to be sad but rather bring light and hope to others.

  6. Jesus Christ- "Our Savior"
Jesus was born from a young girl named Mary. The Son of God who died for us so that we may have eternal life. Jesus is the way to a full life on earth and the way to eternal life with him. Jesus is the way, the truth, the life, and no one comes to GOD, but through Jesus. Jesus lived a sinless life. When we accept him in out hearts, we can feel peace in this life. Jesus died so are sins could be forgiven! To Anina's comment, I do think Jesus is the most influential historical character to set food on Earth.
